Very few in our culture will learn to ride the dragon. Dragon energy in Chinese Medicine speaks to your ability to harness your yang energy; masculine power, creative fire, and sexual energy, all while doing no harm.
In Chinese Medicine, the arrival of spring puts us right at the tipping point between the yin months, and the yang months.
During the yin season, the life force tunnels deep down into the roots, navigating through shadows and the subconscious. How comfortable you are here tells the story of your relationship to YIN. When the tipping point is reached and the energy starts to rise like the Kundalini Dragon, bringing heat and fire within and without, we are given another opportunity to 'Ride the Dragon.' This tells the story of how comfortable you are with your YANG.
Very few in our culture will learn to ride the dragon. Dragon energy in Chinese Medicine speaks to your ability to harness your power, creativity, and sexual energy while doing no harm. It's also speaks to the ability to own and share your gifts while keeping an eye on your grandiosity.
We all have something very very big within us.
Many remain asleep to the movements of their dragon or spend their lifetime running from it. We throw away our life force energy, attempt to manage and numb it with addiction, outsource it to partners, or find other ways to dissemenate power by harming self or disempowering others.
Luckily, every springtime we have another opportunity to meet this big, wild, scaly, luminous part of us, and learn to ride... gracefully.
Come visit me in Petaluma or Marin for a life force energy tune-up.
"I know how to catch fishes with lines, birds with arrows, and beasts with nets. But I can't understand how dragons ride on the wind and clouds and soar through the sky. Today I saw Lao Tzu, and he is like a dragon." -- Confucius
